As much as parents hate to admit it, children grow up. For this family, it was time to transition the daughter’s bedroom from a child’s room to a tween’s personal space. After an initial consultation with the parents to define the project scope, I recommended a contractor to combine two small bedrooms into one large room. My one-on-one conversation with the daughter helped me understand her needs, wants and style. After creating a Pinterest board with ideas and reviewing it with the family, I had a clear direction: still young and fresh but with a sophisticated cowgirl feel for this avid horseback rider. Cowgirl chic, it seemed, was the perfect style for this young lady – she still loves it two years later.

My daughter just loves her new room. It provides a wonderful space for her to work, play, dream and rest. Monique did a fabulous job capturing both what my daughter was imagining and what was functional. And the best part is she looked after everything from hiring the contractor to the final touches.
